I will be out of office until the end of October 2025. A blessing to have time to rest, though I do miss the days of PTO :) The way this year is flying is kinda insane.

I’ll still be working behind the scenes to make life a little easier for birthworkers & expectant families. I’ll be taking walks through my favorite spaces on Staten Island, catching up on Dexter with my son, my partner in crime stories & celebrating the beginning of my daughter’s Saturn return abroad (my August baby).

If you know me, you already know I’ll be somewhere diving with sharks.

On my last diving trip, I met a group of expats living their freest lives.

Friend, picture this, the average dive trip:

Wake up, watch the sunrise.
6:30 AM, you step out of your living room, twelve steps from the beach.
By 7:00, you’re on a boat sailing across the bluest water you’ve ever seen.
By 7:20 AM, you're 60 feet below the surface, in a quiet place where the only communication is energetic. There are no bills here. No Amazon drivers punting boxes at your front door. No crumbl.

By lunchtime, you’re exploring the city, still in your bathing suit & nobody’s trying to make it weird. No pssssst, psssssst. There’s so much freedom & camaraderie in diving, in exploring the world. This was the schedule of the expats I met.

Liberation is the resistance.
